Flew to Fort Lauderdale with Norwegian. They have a direct flight from Stockholm, and it takes about 10h 30 min. A long flight, and I was worried that it would feel a lot longer since my son who is ~11 months old could have screamed all the way, but he didn't. Yay!
Some facts about travelling with a baby. You get through immigration a lot faster, they let you jump the queue. The sad part is that you get your special luggage e.g stroller last, so it took us about 2 hours to get off the aircraft and out of the airport.
We had some baby food in our luggage and informed customs about it. The detour through customs and scanning the luggage was swift. All baby food got through.
Getting the rental car took only 10 minutes, but I didn't get the car that I had booked. Had to pay 10 USD extra per day and got a Ford Explorer Limited instead. It's huge, and could fit all luggage.
It was really nice to get to the hotel in pompano beach after being awake for 22 hours.
