It's really easy to travel by train in Japan. I'm now on the bullet train, aka Shinkansen.
There are usually English signs on the train stations, and the tracks have different markings that says where a certain car stops.
I boarded car 8.

We have now boarded the Hikari bullet train to Kyoto.
There's plenty of legroom on the train, can even have my bag in front of me.
Btw, I went to an information desk to find out from where the train was leavimg, but somehow instead booked seating tickets. Still didn't know where the train left from when Iwalked away from the information desk.
